Overview Amarillo Gold is a Canadian junior gold exploration company that is developing advanced gold projects and exploring for gold in Brazil. The company has two advanced development projects - Mara Rosa and Lavras do Sul - as well as some earlier stage exploration projects.
Projects Mara Rosa - Located in the state of Goias, Mara Rosa hosts an inferred resource of 974,000 ounces of gold (0.5 g Au/t cut-off). Metallurgical testing commenced in September of 2009 and results from that testing will be an integral part of the pre-feasibility study which is planned for the first half of 2010.
Lavras do Sul - the Lavras do Sul project is located in the southern states of Rio Grande do Sul and hosts nineteen highly prospective targets, including: Butia, Cerrito and Caneleira. Butia is one of the more advanced targets and drilling by Amarillo there has yielded results including: 232m @ 1.95 g/t Au and 120m @ 3.23 g/t Au. Another round of drilling (5000m+) was initiated in mid-October 2009.
