A political free-for-all with a few rules:
Arguments, logic (nods to Neocon), reason (nods to kholt), articles, bombast, are permitted. Even the name calling that is such a trademark of the unmoderated threads. "Demolib pinhead" is specifically allowed. "Parafascist pinhead" for the use of those on the left.
Both sides of the aisle, the center (is there such a thing?) and the unclassifiable are all welcome.
The rules of engagement:
It is not the intent of the moderator to favor or discriminate against anyone because of their POLITICAL leanings.
However, violating these WILL GET YOU BANNED!
1. Revelation of intimate, personal, or private information about other posters or posting PMs containing such or threatening to do so or alluding to the existence of such IS SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITED! This specifically includes assertions involving cyberflirtation. Whether the assertions made are true or not is irrelevant. The assertions need not have been made on this thread if the other party is a poster on this thread..
2. A request by another poster that you not post to them or make comments about them in your posts are expected to be honored. That does not mean you cannot comment on the subject being discussed by that poster in your own posts. Your comments in such a situation should be substantive and not personal.
3. If a poster makes an assertion against you and you allow other posters to defend you and it can be shown that you knew the charge to be true, you will be banned.
4. A small number of persons are pre-banned for previous violations of the above rules.
It is requested that posters refrain from commenting on members who have been moderated off this thread. As of now that consists of Christopher Hodgkin and bonnuss_in_austin.
It is hoped that it will never be necessary to ban anyone else. |
