Despite the very good and genuine efforts of the many folks who participated in what can only be considered one of the more amazing debates among all of SI's forums, our president went ahead and began the war. This means no one won the debate and no one lost the debate and the reason is because we, all of humanity, loses together when war beckons to take our sons and daughters.
Let us hope and pray, relying upon all of the goodness within us, that this war ends very, very soon and few are the number who become the death count, casualty and psychological aftermath victims.
Let us also hope and pray that our world's leaders some day soon get their act together and do their utmost to discover a means of resolving dispute without a need for war, and that somehow a policy to eliminating the reasons which breed terrorism can be found.
On a personal level, I thank each of you for your participation, and especially for the kindness that has been shown towards me.
And to those who've been viligent in their opposition to my views, please know I'm appreciative of your contribution and I hope you'll continue to participate in the debate in the new forum.
I'll close with a reminder that the Stop the War forum is a moderated one, and is so because I've enumerable requests to make it one. So it goes!
