Welcome to the 2002 (fourth annual) SI "NCAA College Basketball March Madness" thread. Each year we discuss who we think will be crowned national champion as well as see which of us can accumulate the most points by picking the winners along the way.
This year I've started the thread a tad early so we can also discuss who deserves to go to the big dance. For example, will Penn, at home, beat Princeton on Tuesday (3/5) to force a three way playoff in the Ivy League, perhaps paving the way for Yale to get in? I say they do.
Once the tournament itself is set and ESPN, CNN, or Sportsline have their pools up and running, I'll revise this post to inform everyone how to participate.
