Last round kick off was on Monday November 27 and it ended last Friday March 30, and - surprise, surprise! - with a new winner! This time a newbie took us all to the cleaner, the results of the fourth round: Message 23418937
A new round starts today Monday, April 2 so get your bets including shorts (new) ready by the closing bell this afternoon 4pm, NYC time!
Portfolio Rules: 1- Our new round nbr 5 starts on April 2nd (That's today, Monday!) and ends on August 3rd (Friday), approx. 4 months. Your initial picks of max 5 stocks must be in before 4pm EDST Apr 2nd, and will be valued at their closing price that day. The game is off and running from market close on Apr 2nd. Any newcomers capable of teaching us vets a few things are welcome to join this new race for eternal fame.
2- You start out with $100 fictive money, no real cash required, and get to "buy" stocks on Apr 2th and also the last Friday of each month, see rule 5- below. You pay 1% commission on sales, buys are free. You can sell a stock, long or short, any day as long as your sales order for all of that stock is in same day before market closes. You then get the closing price of same day. Sell all or none of the stock, no partial sales allowed.
3- Stocks have to be US listed and trade on either Nasdaq or NYSE, no BBs, OBs, or PKs! In clear language, absolutely no bulletin boards or pinko sheets please.
4- You can invest long or short (short: PP min $5 as usual, max one stock short and max 50% of the portfolio value shorted at any time) in equities (no options), but you can also sit in cash if so preferred. Shorts will be valued as PP+(PP-DP). PP=Purchasing Price, DP=Price of the Day.
5- Max 50% of the total portfolio (incl. any cash position) at most in any single stock, long or short, initially and upon buying at trading dates which are last Fridays end of each month. Your buy orders must be in no later than same Friday's market close.
6- You can also join in the middle of a game, but your starting capital will be equal to the same day closing value of the person in last place minus $1. Post your picks during a trading day, and you buy your stock picks on their closing prices that day.
7- Any "slimy maneuvering" (SM) will be punished by deduction of 2$ from the individual's portfolio. After extended studies in Las Vegas Elroy, operating there under deep cover "Chop Chop", has become our resident SM expert and decides unless otherwise outvoted by the investment team. |
