Return to The thread of life

Hello World. This is Mike McFarland here, and
I guess you would call this a weblog. I recently
learned that "blogging" is a lot like what I've
been doing all along here on Silicon Investor.

The rules for the thread are few: Main topic is
biotechnology--investments, trading, and all
things biotech just for interests sake.

I've no training in the biological science, and
although I do subscribe to Nature, and Nature
Biotechnology, am most certainly a novice at
this--not a lot 'sticks'. Fwiw, I've done well
despite myself being in biotech stocks, especially
in 1999 and early 2000, but since September '00, a
third of my net worth has been taken back by
Mr. Market. I generally stay pretty high on cash
these days, but will put 100k in and out of the
market for days to weeks when I think I see a
bottom. Haven't pcanned any gold in the past
six months or so however...
