Note on Demark Sequential A complete Demark Sequential count; either Buy or Sell consist of a series of 9 consecutive closes that are either lower or higher than the close 4 sessions prior. Simply put, any close that ends the streak can start a reverse count and such an event is called a reversal.
What usually happens in real time and real life is that professional traders never allow 9-0 sell or 9-0 buy counts to finish and often sell or buy ahead of it even as early as the 7-0 count. Whenever this happens, the charts will never reflect this.
There are software though, from vendors like Tradestation, CQG, Bloomberg that allow historic charts to post 7-0, 8-0 or even 6-0 counts to reflect the early entry by professional traders.
As a Demark Sequential trader for nearly 15 years, I don't jump in early. I almost always go with completed 9-0 counts. I find that they are the most timely.
