Return to Angels of Alchemy

Please Pay Attention To This Article, posted 5/24 at approximately 1 a.m. usnews.com;

Angels, artists, alchemists, and analysts... the articulate and amiable... this is a sanctuary where the wise, the kind, the expert and the optimistic will gather to share the harvests of their research.

I seek women and men of goodwill, who take pride in their research & investigative skills, who will foster the spirit of cooperation and build a team of genius unsurpassed.

Mining the wealth of many hearts and minds, we shall aim high and far, advancing the common good through shrewd and alert short-term trading. If you are here to contribute, you are most welcome to join us.

My aims and boundaries - which I overdefine for the less experienced traders - include the following:

--1) Anyone may take part. Though I've chosen to utilize the moderated option for this board, I intend to practice a broad tolerance. Only those who demonstrate a repetitive use of abusive and hateful language (serial flamers, racist lamers, Shriners etc.) might face exclusion. (Note: okay, Shriners are fine, but chill with that dorky headware, eh?)

--2) Humor is tolerated and encouraged, but in the midst of highly active trading sessions, some self-moderation is encouraged, to avoid board distraction. At such times it might prove helpful to begin your posts with OT (off topic). Yet we gladly welcome clowns and fools.

--3) I would prefer no derision directed towards traders who have suffered losses and refer you back to #1, above.

--4) Our focus will be on techs and biotechs, from infrastructure to semiconductors to ISPs to ASPs to telecoms to wireless to computers, gadgets, software, B2B, alt. technology and more.

--5) Though I intend no moderation in this matter, nor would I presume to define your parameters of social responsibility, I would prefer that we direct no attention to companies whose products include advanced weaponry, the dispersal of toxic chemicals, anything nuclear, or whose manufacturing of products produces unprocessed pollutants to be loosed on land, in air or in water. As the latter may be hardest to determine, I simply ask that you avoid those companies known broadly as polluters.

--6) I would hope that we develop and refine the arts of stockpicking, gauging and timing the market to maximum advantage, with a healthy side emphasis on IPOs, QP stocks and the rising stars from the ranks of smallcaps, so that many might gain from our efforts.

--7) While I seek a spirit of neighborliness, I ask the less-experienced to recognize that active trading does not always grant the time for every trader to consistently announce both buy & sell points. I encourage all traders to take responsibility for their own decisions, to add their own research to recommended stocks before purchasing and to limit losses when a stock does not perform as hoped for.

--8) Bold risks can achieve great gains... or great losses. Risk only what you feel comfortable losing.

--9) Respect and courtesy are encouraged and appreciated; sometimes teasing & sarcasm is more fun. Let's have fun, as often as possible, win or lose.

--10) I discourage the practice of 'pumping & dumping' microcaps because IMHO it creates board disharmony and I believe greater gains can be made by each and all participants using other methods. I will not moderate to exclude such practices, but will not participate. Further, I choose not to practice shorting any stocks as a matter of my own principles, but leave it to others to practice whatever they choose.

As a final note, my reference to angels in the title reflects my belief that the talents I have acquired at this game are gifts granted by Higher Powers than any I have. I am not here to proselytize nor define that further. As well, any spirit who gathers here to share their gifts are, to me, angels. Even the irreverent yayhoos, beanyhead technerds, extreme droolers and festering simps. ;^)

Are you rrrready to rrrrrrrrrrrrrUMBLE?!!!?? Then let's do the stock thang.

Warmth & luminance;

SirRealist
