WELCOME TO BEFRIEND THE TREND TRADING
We are an ecclectic group of traders, some working professionals who trade part-time, some ex-pros who trade full-time, who are continuously trying to improve our qualities of life through successful stock market exploitation (!).
Since April 1, 2000 the BTTT thread has been experimenting with the following system, called BTTT-MAX:
a) find high-volume stocks with high weekly volatility, and even money-flow displayed on hourly charts
b) trade long on bullish crossovers of the 5-period Exponential Moving Average and 8-period Simple Moving Average (hourly chart)
c) trade short on the bearish crossovers of the same
d) stay 100% invested in each stock 100% of the time, long or short
After diligent work by thread regulars, we have come up with the following stable of stocks that meet our criteria. Note: not all of the following are trading well now and so should be avoided:
