Return to Free Float Trading/ Portfolio Development/ Index Stategies

Greetings:

Never heard of the Free Float?
If not; Your not alone, as I've found in my 4 year career posting on SI.

This is an open invitation to SI participants who are interested to engage my services as a consultant for portfolio construction using the soon to be popular metric of the free float.

I have since my joining SI almost four years ago been the only practioner, that I've ever run into, who relies exclusively on the metric of the free float as a primary discriminator in constructing trading and investing portfolios.

Many of you may not remember me, but the slogan I use to end many of my posts "All action happens against the float", for me, this captures the essential character of tradeing in a Supply demand market.

Morgans Stanleys announcement this weekend that they would begin weighting their Index portfolio allocation to the Free Float metric, surprised me completely. Message 17517634

Big Houses like Morgan dont make these changes lightly.
Here is a recent post by yours truly on the subject:
Message 17463791

This marks the beggining of a new opportunity for investors and traders alike. Free Float metrics are relatively easy to figure out, but devising strategies and tactics that capture the opportunity of making money with them is a whole different matter.

I beleive my methods of measuring action against the free float in trading is ground breaking in it's own right.

Because I have been on SI giving this information freely in my posts, to those who didnt seem to want it, I've decided to make myself available to those who lack understanding of this, and wish to cut the learning curve in getting up to speed.

I think this shift by a major house could spell the beginning of a trend that meets my so called Sweet Spot.

I have decided to place this SI page in Service because I believe that while many Mutual Funds will follow Morgans Lead, the comparative advantages of tactical implementation make my background and history a valuable element.

Can any of you actually say that you have experience constructing Free Float tactics?

This thread may become a place to talk about real time advantages of Free float index asset allocation methodologies. Certainly there are many who need help here, especially as it relates to the free floats role in index portfolio construction.

Don't hesitate to contact me if your interested in consultation.

Sincerely,
David
