A thread for posting opinions of conservative Americans not getting on the Trump Train to Liberalville. I doubt this will have too many posts. I also hope this will be a short lived thread.
It's not intended that this thread be restricted to Contra Trump posters. Trump fans are welcome to make a reasoned case for their man if they can. But it is not a Trump believer safe space.

Trump is lying NOW about what he thinks of the Clintons in order to get Republicans to vote for him. If he didn't actually like them, he wouldn't have sought Bill's advice last year and he wouldn't have said all those wonderful things about them as recently as 4 years ago. He wouldn't have said just last year that Bill Clinton was his favorite of the last four Presidents.

1. Cruz is more fanatical. Sure, Trump is a bully and bigot, but he doesn’t hew to any sharp ideological line. Cruz is a fierce ideologue: He denies the existence of man-made climate change, rejects same-sex marriage, wants to abolish the Internal Revenue Service, believes the 2nd amendment guarantees everyone a right to guns. He doesn’t believe in a constitutional divide between church and state, favors the death penalty, rejects immigration reform, demands the repeal of Obamacare, and takes a strict “originalist” view of the meaning of the Constitution.
2. Cruz is a true believer. Trump has no firm principles except making money, getting attention, and gaining power. But Cruz has spent much of his life embracing radical right economic and political views.
3. Cruz is more disciplined and strategic. Trump is all over the place, often winging it, saying whatever pops into his mind. Cruz hews to a clear script and a carefully crafted strategy. He plays the long game (as he’s shown in Iowa).
4. Cruz is a loner who’s willing to destroy government institutions to get his way. Trump has spent his career using the federal government and making friends with big shots. Not Cruz. He has repeatedly led Republicans toward fiscal cliffs. In the Fall of 2013, his opposition to Obamacare led in a significant way to the shutdown of the federal government.

Trump's mockery of the disabled reporter is really the essence of Trumpism. This illustrates why Trump is "good tv." And it shows why most people will never respect Donald Trump. But for the minority who are "Trump Lovers" as one of them put it here, this is WHY they love him. When I saw the picture of Serge Kovaleski it reminded me of a girl in my hometown who has post polio syndrome (not the same condition Kovaleski has). But she had a hand that looks like his, she had spastic movements, she walked awkwardly. And the Donnie Trump's made her life hell in high school. Looking back, I suspect most of those kids who mocked her have matured away from that by now. But liberals like Donnie Trump, especially spoiled rotten rich ones, they don't mature. They still do at 69 what they did at 14.
There you have the essence of Trumpism. Behold it's "glory."
BTW Trump was not "punching back" at Kovaleski. His beef was about something Kovaleski wrote 14 years before that had nothing to do with Trump. And it's another lie that he didn't know what Kovaleski looked like. They knew one another:

I dare any Trump supporters to say they'd recommend Trump's get rich quick and easy scam for a child or other loved one. Not a single Trumper will say they would. But why not?
