Edwarda is very sick and in the hospital. Please, whether you are a friend or a stranger, take a moment to remember her in your prayers. If you don't pray, please at least send her good thoughts. If you don't know Edwarda, please be assured that if you did know her, you would love her. She is one of the best-loved people on Silicon Investor, the type of person that makes this place special. She is missed, very much.
As of the evening of Sunday, June 18, 2000, we have received first hand reports from George Montgomery and jlallen, who visited Edwarda in the hospital this weekend, and Claudia, Edwarda's sister, who also visited her in the hospital this weekend. Edwarda is still unconscious, but her condition has not worsened over the weekend. She seems to be responsive to stimuli. Her sister reports that she seemed to react to people speaking, and swears she saw a tear run down Edwarda's face when she was talking to her. The doctors do not know the cause of her condition, and have run every test they can think of and are now running even more obscure tests. From all reports, the hospital is a good one, and she is receiving excellent care.
The drive to collect money to send Edwarda's sister to New York was a success, thank you very much.
