Windows 11 developed by Microsoft is a major release of their Windows NT family of operating systems announced on June 24, 2021 and expected to be commercially released in late 2021. It is the successor to Windows 10, released six years earlier which was commercially available on July 29, 2015. Windows 11 will be available as a free upgrade to compatible Windows 10 devices through Windows Update.
There is frequent discussion of Windows 10 and earlier versions of Windows or other personal computer OSs by participants on SI's 'Computer Learning' subject board hosted by 'goldworldnet' (Josh). This board was created as a supplement to that popular SI board.
