KT High-Tech Marketing, Inc., through its wholly-owned subsidiary KULR Technology Corporation ("KULR"), is focused on developing and commercializing high-performance thermal management (electronics and battery cooling) technologies for a wide array of electronics applications. Heat generated by an electronic system's internal components can result in degradation of system performance and reliability. KULR exploits its proprietary Carbon Fiber Cooling or "CFC" technology to create superior thermal management products with high thermal conductivity and heat dissipation characteristics. CFC is ultra-light weight and pliable, which are of key importance for many electronics applications where weight and system design restrictions (i.e. miniaturization of devices) are concerns. CFC solutions have roots in the aerospace industry with the Company serving the likes of NASA, JPL, and Boeing. CFC technology has played a key role in space exploration and discovery having been utilized in the Mars Rover, Mercury Messenger, and International Space Station. In addition to serving the aerospace industry, KULR progresses towards providing its cost effective, space qualified technology for use in next generation earthbound applications in the consumer electronics, battery storage, electric vehicle, mobile computing, cloud computing, robot, IOT, and virtual reality spaces. KULR stands uniquely positioned to meet increasing system and power demands in the world of electronics.
Executive Team
Michael Mo, Chief Executive Officer Michael's family co-founded Epic Design Technology, a provider of integrated circuit simulation and analysis software tools. In 1997, Epic was acquired by Synopsis, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNPS) for $427.1 million. In 2005, he co-founded Sympeer Technology, which was acquired by Amlogic in 2007, where he served as Senior Director of Business Development and his supply chain represented 70% of China's OTT set top box market. Michael has had a successful career as a venture capital investor having been an early round investor in AllBusiness.com ($225 million acquisition by NBC Interactive), Spreadtrum Communications ($1.78 billion acquisition by Tsinghua holdings), and Omnivision ($1.9 billion acquisition by Hua Capital, Citic Capital, and Goldstone in 2016). Today, he focuses entirely on building KULR's business to serve the growing industry demand for improved thermal management products. Michael's family history in technology, his 20+ year history in tech management, and Chinese-American background have greatly influenced his development as a leader in the field. He's firsthand learned from China's emergence as a tech superpower to join the U.S. on the global stage and along the way built meaningful relationships with industry leaders in both countries. Michael earned a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
Dr. Timothy Knowles, Chief Technology Officer Dr. Knowles has over thirty years of thermal management research and product development experience having performed work on some of the most challenging aerospace and industrial applications. Some of Dr. Knowles and his team's projects included building the X-38 battery heat sink, Mercury Messenger PCM heat sink, NICER telescope PCM heat sink, Mars Rover battery enclosure, and X-51 Scramjet heat exchanger and thermal interface material. He and his team of engineers (formerly Energy Science Laboratory, Inc.) conceived and developed KULR's proprietary carbon fiber cooling solutions and was awarded hundreds of contracts from numerous customers including NASA, JPL, Raytheon, and Boeing. Dr. Knowles is an expert in materials science and in particular the utilization of carbon fiber for heat sinks and heat exchangers. He authored or co-authored 48 research papers over the years. Dr. Knowles received a Ph.D. in Physics from UC San Diego.
