Recent events and those of the last decade are consistent: slow decay -- national and social disaggregation, climatic events, polarization, geopolitical stressors, dominance of capital, increasing socioeconomic disparity, mass migrations, and more.
- Since that has long been the expected future, current events cause no surprise. Worse is coming.
Negative synergy — Synergy is the creation of a whole greater than the simple sum of its parts. It is commonly assumed that synergy has a positive outcome. In reality synergy can apply to interactions that cause negative consequences, the result of which is greater than the sum of its parts. Thus, we have negative synergy.
- Feedback loops will be negative
Energy, climate change, population growth, resource depletion, environmental degradation are parallel trends on the rise. Their interaction is changing our existence.
