Return to Stock and Bond Market-Timing: Can it be Done?

I have been a Bob Brinker fan for 25+ years. I have an extensive record of all of his market-calls, both official and "off-the-books." I have a complete set of Marketimers back to January 2000, and refer to them often to maintain continuity. If there is anything you want to know about Brinker's history, I can usually give you the answer, and back it up with documentation.

Each weekend, I write a summary of Bob Brinker's Moneytalk radio program. I often include quotes from the program in order to be entirely accurate. I usually post parts of my Moneytalk Summaries here, but occasionally, for educational purposes, I post Marketimer quotes at my blog.

Brinker prefers the total stock market index fund over the S&P 500 index. The ETF for that is VTI.

PLEASE NOTE: Bob Brinker's market-timing record goes back to the mid-1980's. Bob Brinker ranks the performance of his current model portfolios from 1988. Hulbert's Financial Digest ranks Marketimer model portfolio performance from 1986. Therefore, all of Brinker's calls from that time are pertinent for educational purposes and discussion.
