Return to 3G Wireless: Coming Soon or Here Now?

IMT-2000 Third Generation Mobile Wireless Telephony (3G) ...

... is no longer "Coming Soon." It fully arrived in 2004.

The objective of this board is discuss 3G, attempt to position 3G in the Technology Adoption Life Cycle (TALC), and monitor its displacement of 2G and 2.5G mobile wireless technologies.

The focus is on Global 3G (G3G) and the 3 CDMA based technologies, but discussion of EDGE and DECT is relevant as are discussions of 802.xx and other complementary technologies.

There are several fine and informative company specific boards here on Silicon Investor, and links to those will be provided. This forum is intended to be more general, but discussion of established or emerging players in the 3G arena is encouraged.

This is a moderated board. The protocol for posting on this board is fairly simple in principle. Please conduct yourself as you would at an eclectic gathering of polite and courteous individuals. Please watch your language and avoid rudeness, technology bashing, company bashing, or people bashing.

The Virtual Holy Wars are over and its time to roll out.
