To paraphrase Franklin D. Roosevelt's speech made on December 8, 1941:

"Today, September 11, 2001 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by terrorists of unknown origin."

This marks the end of innocence for all of us who live in the Free World. Freedom, and the price that must be paid for it, will forever be redefined.
