The arrest of would-be terrorist bombers in the UK today supports Kerry's campaign claim that terrorism is effectively addressed as a law and order issue instead of as a military issue. Hats off to the Interpol and Scotland Yard for their excellent work in nabbing them in a timely manner. Worthy of even more accolades are the British politicians and those at the helm in the UK who did not pedal their influence to beat up on the intelligence agencies to toe their line. Very unlike the US where the likes of Cheney politicized and demoralized the CIA.
On the other hand, with every passing day in Iraq, Bush continues to be on the wrong side by claiming that Iraq in the epicenter of our fight against terrorism. |
