A weather site MoneyPenny pointed out to me, comments about the various models, lots of people who know their stuff, can't recommend it enough. Throw them a couple of bucks if your home gets spared. The site is often overwhelmed with traffic. This site is not hurricane-specific so the link is good for whatever storm is passing through:

 storm2k.org

 PREDICTIONS AND MODELS

National Hurricane Center (you can refresh it to get current track). This link is only for Frances, Ivan link is at the bottom of the page:

 nhc.noaa.gov

The Boat US site from CalculatedRisk has some nice graphics all in one place. They show whatever storms are approaching. I really like this site, it is one stop shopping:

 boatus.com

Manny provided this link, which tracks various models. They update the page as new storms come in, so this site is not hurricane specific:

 midatlanticwx.com

 Satellite view of storm:

 ssd.noaa.gov

A site Fred Langford has found to be very useful (has a nice knots/miles per hour conversion chart). This link is for Frances, the Ivan link is below:

 intellicast.com

U.S. Navy hurricane site. This one has a large map with the locations of major cities, so it's more useful than the national hurricane center map. This link is specific to Frances, Ivan link below:

 nrlmry.navy.mil

This the Accuweather animated storm map from GroundZero. Accuweather appears to have a very good reputation:

 hurricane.accuweather.com

The main Accuweather page. This does not seem to be hurricane specific so the link should be good for whatever storm is approaching:

 wwwa.accuweather.com

Swiftmud site that Triffin posted. This one is interesting, it compares the NHC predicted path of the storm to the actual path of the storm as established by the planes that fly over them.

 sfwmd.gov

This is a website that produces some nice maps based on the National Hurricane Center forecasts. The cities are shown so you get a better idea of the landing area:

 skeetobite.com

 GENERAL

A site called "How Hurricanes Work" for us liberal arts majors:

 science.howstuffworks.com

Here is an online map of Florida:

 jacobsonsplants.com

 IVAN

This one could be a problem for Florida's west coast next weekend. Dr. Steve Lyons says this will be a category 4 storm.

Tropical Storm Ivan's track from National Hurricane Center:

 LA BAMBA

Last, but not least, here are the lyrics to "La Bamba," which is a great song to play or sing while in a hurricane situation:

 Para bailar la bamba
 Para bailar la bamba
Se necesita una poca de gracia
Una poca de gracia para me para ti
 Arriba y arriba
Y arriba y arriba por ti sere
 Por ti sere
 Por ti sere
 Yo no soy marinero
 Yo no soy marinero
 Soy capitan
 Soy capitan
 Soy capitan
 Bam ba bamba
 Bam ba bamba
 Bam ba bamba

 Arriba y arriba
Y arriba ya arriba, por ti sere
 Por ti sere
 Por ti sere
 Bam ba bamba
 Bam ba bamba
 Bam ba bamba
