Special Devices has about 40% of the US air bag initiator market (ranking it 2nd, behind OEA). About 60% of the company's revenue comes from sales to air bag maker TRW. The company also owns Scot, Inc., a maker of military aircraft crew escape and life support pyrotechnic products.
