Predictive Systems for the Scientist
It is a sad fact of life that very few "Traders" or "Investors" who apply "Technical" analysis or other methods to the prediction of stock prices, have any training whatsoever in the scientific development, testing, or application of such systems. Most so called "Technical" systems have as much to do with the scientific prediction of stock prices as astrology has to do with astrophysics.
The purpose of this thread is to provide a place for those interested to discuss and develop their theories, assumptions, and experimental or quasi-experimental designs in a more rigorous fashion. My current research interest is stated on my personal profile. However, any and all research interests are invited.

Additionally, please note that the use of all information, not just traditional "Technical" information, including but not limited to "Fundamental" information is fair game for this thread. The point is that regardless of what info you use to do your prediction, you want the prediction to be reliable.
