I'm tired of hearing people continue to say that Mr. Clinton's wrongdoing "doesn't rise to the level of impeachment". It did, indeed, rise to that level. He has been impeached. There can no longer be any argument as to whether it rises to that level. It would be much like stating that the Mississippi River didn't rise to flood level in 1993. That argument is over. The salient argument now is whether, after being impeached, Mr. Clinton should be convicted and removed from office.
What I'm curious about now is where these people are who are giving him a favorability rating of over 70%. Even the Democrats in both houses of Congress are calling him bad names. You don't say things like reprehensible, inexcusable, unforgiveable, disgusting, etc. about someone you like. I hear people say they don't think he should be removed from office, but almost none who have a favorable opinion of him. Who is conducting these polls, and whom are they polling? |
