Return to DTOX - CITA BIOMEDICAL, ULTRA RAPID OPIATE DETOXIFICATION

On August 12, 1998, CITA Biomedical used an inactive shell company, (OTC BB:DTOX) to acquire 100% of CITAmerica which owns the "worldwide" patent to the Ultra Rapid Opiate Detoxification (UROD) process.

Traditional rehabilitative treatments for those who are addicted to opiate-based narcotics take from 28 days to weeks to detoxify the patient. Failure rate is extremely high because the patient simply cannot endure the pain. Only about half of those who start the traditional method complete the treatment. The cost to the patient on traditional treatment is about $10,000.

CITA's proprietary process is the only clinically tested and effective alternative treatment method for detoxification of users of heroin, methadone, prescription painkillers and other opiate-based narcotics and medications. The CITA method is a "pain free" procedure performed by Board Certified Anesthesiologists in a hopital setting while the patient is asleep. The process takes only 4-6 hours and the patient is usually released from the hospital within 24 hours. The treatment costs the patient only about $7,000 (covered by many insurances) and grosses DTOX $3,000. A long-term clinical study has found the process to be 100% successful:

Following UROD each patient begins CITA's Flexible Intensity Treatment (FIT), an individual aftercare program in which 55% of patients have been found to be relapse free after six months compared to 10 to 20% for traditional methods.
