From time to time, anew ticker appears on the AMEX, per today one was even listed on the "IPO Calendar", its' Duraswitch (AMEX:DRA), which previously traded on the OBB as DSWT.
Other stocks which moved to the AMEX were: UAI, FCM (was FTEL), ONT, CGY.
It has been mentioned that the AMEX seeks to list a bunch of companies in 1999, but there might be doubts about the quality of some of the listed stocks.
Some of these stocks are traded after a reverse merger brought some business into a shell company.
Now, how have those stocks fared? Did they rise? Is trading smoothly and offers chances for newly investors?
On a side note, some stocks which were either traded OTC, or on the BB, like Ubet, Cyba, Bids moved to the Nasdaq. Again, does the upgrade in trading standards qualify an investment?
