Candela To Open The World's First SPA And Cosmetic Laser Center
WAYLAND, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 1996--Candela Skin Care Center Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Candela Corp. (CLZR) announced today that it has entered into a long-term lease in Scottsdale, Ariz., where it will open the world's first fully integrated spa and cosmetic laser center.
Candela Skin Care Center's strategy is to target those upper income individuals seeking the best in health and beauty. The Scottsdale Center will offer the highest level of personal care services, combined with the latest in laser cosmetic technology in an upscale setting. The company believes that this is a substantial market, and that the demand for these services will continue to increase.

The 7,555 square foot free-standing facility is located in the heart of Scottsdale's most exclusive area.
