The original title of this Board was "Sticking One’s Neck Out". I chose that name because I thought that maybe, in these times that we live in, there was a need to interrogate long held beliefs and convictions, especially those based on what we were taught in our formative years compared to what we actually experienced in our later and more "independent thinking" years.
I suspect that many of those beliefs and convictions formed part of our education and upbringing in our early years, at a time when we were youthfully vulnerable and we accepted them without much question.
Now that we are older and possibly more independent in our thinking, we may be a bit more circumspect in what we accept as our core principles and beliefs.
What prompted me to start the original Board came about as a result of a message I posted elsewhere on S.I., incorporating this Board’s original title.
A day or so later someone living, literally, on the opposite side of the world to myself, stated that she had been searching for "something" and happened to find "it" in what I had written ....

Irrespective, I will be writing it as I see it.
Needless to say, there will be those who have their own viewpoints, which is why I've included the phrase "Your Opinion" in this board's title.
So, ..... by all means, have your say, express your opinion, but kindly be respectful and considerate to other contributors as the converse will not be tolerated and "appropriate action" will be taken.

In my opinion, a MAJOR contributory factor to so many problems in the world today stems from what is accepted and understood as the 'Creator', and how that understanding translates into the decisions and actions taken by so many.
Suffice to say, that if the 'Creator' was contacted, directly, the comment that could emanate from such a discourse could be along the lines of, "You have got me all wrong".
A MAJOR example, in that regard, is the rise of that iniquitous group, ISIS.
Someone has written VERY COMPREHENSIVELY on this subject and I will, on a regular basis, put forward pertinent extracts from that author's writings.
I won't inform, publicly, who that author is.
