As my name suggests, I am more than 1/4.... I am a full 1/2 Viking... half Norwegian and half Swedish.... and dummy me always liked the name "Minnesota Vikings" to honor my heritage where we "landed" in the post slavery migration (late 1800s.) "Redskins" is insulting... I'd not like being honored as "Blondies" for a team name.... My good mixed Filipino, Mexican and German buddy agree "Redskins" is insulting but "Chiefs" seems fine to some but "Indians" here in California objected to "Stanford Indians" decades ago so the school changed its name.

The 1/8th of me that is Italian is a bit insulted they tore down statues of Columbus that were put up after decades of treating Italians poorly as a way to show we were accepted.... I guess blacks might feel the same way if MLK statues and street names were torn down by MeToo women who objected to all the women he boinked while married and claiming to be a minister....

I think the "Redskins" should become "The Red Tail Hawks" or something not related to Ind... er Native Americans... I LOVE Red Tail Hawks as they eat the f'ing squirrels that destroy my drip system in the garden....

and the KC Chiefs should yield their trophy to the 49ers because they kept making racists warrior chants while kicking our asses during the 4th quarter of the last Superbowl!
