geoffrey- I have true VOD via Time Warners digital cable TV offering. I wrote quite a bit about it upstream. Let's see if I can find a url....well the search engine only returned a single VOD post I did (I think I did about 10 posts). Here is the one post:

I did read your post about cost of streaming bits. It left too many parameters wide open for me to make sense of it. It's very difficult to understand exactly what the author claims costs $.01/Mb to stream. Also I believe you may have mentioned VOD streaming and IP as being related...If so, they are not as far as I know. At least not now but in the future world, all IP video would be the ideal. Now it's a mess of proprietary schemes. -MikeM(From Florida)
