AIM Mutual Fund

I was listening to CNBC a few moments ago when Bill Gerlach, the manager of the MAS MID CAP VALUE FUND was describing what his fund invests in and how they manage their investments. He did not use the term AIM, yet he described the basic philosophy that we use, "Buy on Weakness and Trim on Strength". His comments suggested that their modification of AIM is to limit the weighting of sectors and stocks in their portfolio to predetermined values. i.e. no more than 20% in Technology, 10% in Financials, and similar. These numbers are NOT the limits that the fund applies, just illustrations of what he said. This fund is a top perfrming fund this year.
