I just found this (hope this hasn't been posted earlier) Excerpt from THR - August 18th 1998 ============================================= "MINSK, Belarus -- Belarus Film Studios is looking forward to a business boom as a new wave of television miniseries from neighboring Russia seeks cost-effective production venues. ............. But it is also proving attractive to Hollywood filmmakers. Menahem Golan's new film, "Breaking the Silence," a $3 million dramatization of last year's Peruvian hostage crisis, is his fifth production at Belarus Film in four years. "We're making this film for $3 million, but on screen it will look like $10 million," Golan said. He added that all the Peruvian and New York locations needed had been found in Minsk, and that university students would provide the bulk of the hundreds of extras needed -- for the princely sum of $5 a day." ======================================== This shows the real production skills of Golan-Globus, not necessarily block-buster movies - but good movies under budget (and tiny budgets at that). Question: I gather that Golan produced this film for Nu-Image, how is Nu-Image related to MVEE? If not related what revenues or potential revenues has MVEE received from "Lima: Breaking the Silence"? I have not found a clear answer to this question anywhere. Perhaps I missed something. Many thanks....... BIG times ahead!
