On a long and lonesome railway

You can listen to the engine
Moaning out it's one long song
You can think about the farmer
That picked your ass the day before...
But your thoughts will soon be wandering
The way they always do
When your riding in a rail car
With a million just like you.
And you wish that you weren't going
For you know what they will do......

Getting baked again
I'm a yam
there on the plate
and here I go
It's dinner time again

pass the butter.....

Well they haul you in the restaurant
bruised up from the road
you can feel the eyes upon you
and the refrigerator's co-ooold
You pretend it doesn't bother you
but when you're baked you might explode....

Most times you can't hear'em order

and all the same old cliche's
is that a sweet potato or a yam
and although them you outnumber
with no legs you can't stand

Out there in the heat lamp
for the best part of the day
they wrap you up in tinfoil
and slice you in half - hey!
then they baste you all in butter
and they peel your skin away....

Later in the evening as they lie awake in bed
With that bloated stomach feeling
and the nausea spins their head...
