Kenneth - I am an old fashioned Graham & Dodd analyst and understand TA, but am certainly not an expert in it. On your intradays can the time and date data tell trading volumes and the price the trade went at? I'm wondering if the stock re-purchase program has begun. It would be to the company's advantage to buy back shares prior to increasing the dividend at next month's meeting. I further feel that Barnes presents a good defensive play should the market continue to correct. Should there happen to be another serious buyer out there in addition to the company itself, Barnes should have a very limited downside. BTW look for EPS for 1Q ending 3/31/97 to come in around $1.32- $1.37 versus $1.13 a year ago. Respectfully, Gary
