I spent last week in Fort McMurray. Several of my clients have oil sands operations. The major issue for many of these companies is not Alberta's royalty regime or the environmentalists. The major issue is the availability of skilled labor. There are simply not enough experienced trades people and technical staff to complete projects on time and on budget.
