I just read an article in the current Fortune Magazine about European Warrant Fund, which I own. The media attention probably constitutes a sell warning. EWF holds warrants (equivalent to our LEAPs) and is some 2.5 times as volatile as the European market average. Now that I know what a downtrend looks like on a chart, I'd better be watching for one when it hits. When I bought EWF, closed-ends were all the rage and I felt lucky to find one selling at NAV. The Asia CEF's all had premiums of 10-20 percent. How the landscape has changed, probably permanently.
