EDS To Provide Big Picture Products Through Applications On Demand Service eMerchant pro, Big Picture’s e-commerce website solution for small business, has been selected for EDS’ Applications on Demand service Dallas, TX, October 6, 2000 -- Big Picture Technologies Inc. (CDNX:BPI) Big Picture Technologies (CDNX: BPI), a leading developer of e-commerce software for small and mid-sized businesses, today announced that it has reached an agreement with EDS (NYSE:EDS) to offer Big Picture’s eMerchant pro™ software as part of EDS’ ASP solutions program, Applications on Demand (AoD).
eMerchant pro™ is a hosted Internet all-in-one solution that helps small businesses build e-commerce websites, catalog and sell products, process orders, and initiate live chats with customers. EDS will also offer Big Picture’s ExpenseTrak!™, a Lotus Domino application designed to manage expenses for employees and TimeTrak!™, a Domino based comprehensive application for the management of time sheets and time-based activities.
A specially configured version of eMerchant pro™, to be marketed as eMerchant pro Select™ will be launched in the AoD program. EDS will provide the Web hosting and first level customer support.
AoD leverages EDS’ proven technology expertise and global infrastructure to penetrate the high growth emerging market of applications rental. AoD is a flexible, reliable, secure method for providing best-of-class applications with an economical per user/per month basis pricing.
