Web Products Fueling Revenue Growth

CALGARY, April 21 /CNW/ - Big Picture Technologies Inc (ASE:BPI) is
pleased to announce another increase in revenue for the first quarter 1999.
Revenues for the three month period ended March 31, 1999 of $189,621.00
represents an increase of 134% over revenues reported for the first three
month period ended March 31, 1998. The revenue for the first quarter of 1999
represents nearly 50% of the total revenue earned in fiscal 1998.
Big Picture Technologies new Web product, Smart Site(TM) 2.0, was
launched during the first quarter of 1999 and has experienced strong sales
volumes during the period. Mortar(TM) 2.0 was launched and began shipping
towards the end of the third quarter of 1998. Software sales now attribute
for over 60% of the company's total revenue and have dramatically increased
quarter over quarter results.
''Our Web products are starting to show strong, market-leading growth. We
believe that our marketing and business strategies continue to work
effectively. The market's reaction to our Web products and product plans, as
well as our distribution and marketing strategies, give us confidence as we
enter the second quarter of the fiscal year,'' stated Michael Anthony,
