I had labor day week end to wait last year in Phoenix and I know these drivers from texas and oakland,ca (they were related) that camped out there too and we would trade off buying stuff for to BBQ and they did just that.
throw the corn in not husked and almost burn that off, and peeling the rest and fresh squeezed lime on it before eating,
they didnt use salt, in fact any time you were use to putting salt on something they used limes.
also good with coronas and tequilla, we had empty
lime halves evrywhere. good people.
