ONSALE to market Inteletek's superstore
PALM BEACH, Fla., Dec 9 (Reuters) - Applied Cellular Technology Inc.'s (Nasdaq:ACTC - news) computer marketing unit on Wednesday said Internet auction retailer ONSALE Inc. (Nasdaq:ONSL - news) will market its electronic computer superstore.
The 12-month agreement, which begins Jan. 1, call for ONSALE to provide the site with 6 million electronic banners, 7 million E-Mail impressions and 428,000 buttons leading to products.
''This will allow us to accelerate the target opening date of our superstore (www.intelesale.com) to January from the middle of 1999,'' Marc Sherman, president of computer marketing subsidiary Inteletek, said in a statement.
The company said it expects Internet sales of $100,000 per day by the end of first quarter 1999, which translates into a growth rate of 500 percent growth rate for its current Internet sales.
