Completely off topic -- I just read this about Linux. This article is only useful for those who are interested in Linux, so if you don't know what Linux is, don't bother reading it. zdnet.com

On a related note, does anyone know if Red Hat Software is a public company?

Finaly, Stuart, I agree that there is a need to place some of your portfolio into emerging technologies and markets. Just remember that you are playing with a live granade. As a personal example, I bought some emerging market mutual fund in 93 or 94 and it returned 80+% for the year. The 80% gain was nothing special; most emerging funds did the same. Today the fund trades for less than half of what I bought it for and again, that is not particular to that fund. In any event, I don't argue with the tape; you are making money, so enjoy it.

Cheers,
Sun Tzu
