in answer to Message 27777686

in a prior post Message 27776966 you said "This excess money will not hold its value for the simple reason that it is excess."

with that statement you've implied that the 'excess' money had value to begin with. if it had value, it was created legitimately. and if it had value and is trusted, it won't lose value. also if it had value, it wasn't counterfeit. if it was known to be created in an illegitimate way (counterfeit), no one would touch it.

counterfeit currency is the only 'excess' currency there is. if it's legit, there can be no excess. and currency can be counterfeited even by the US Treasury. whether or not that's happening, i don't know.

but we got off the topic we were originally discussing.. wealth.. is it static or does it grow? i say it grows and it sounds like you say it's static. the evidence that wealth grows is overwhelming.

if fact, not only does wealth grow, but it can also be destroyed in war, or with socialism/communism. wealth isn't static.
