Vodavi Technology Announces New Major Accounts

Company Secures $1.5 Million In New System Sales

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 2000--Vodavi Technology,
Inc. (Nasdaq:VTEK - news), a leading provider of business communications
solutions for small-to-medium sized businesses, today announced that it
has been awarded new equipment sales for both its STARPLUS© and Triad©
communications by three new end-user accounts.

These new contracts, totaling approximately $1.5 million, represent over
800 anticipated systems to be deployed throughout the United States over
the next 12 to 15 months.

Specifically, Vodavi will supply a total of 125 DHS-E telephone systems
to a large East Coast supermarket chain. The STARPLUS© DHS combines
quality and value to provide small businesses with a communications
system they can count on. Systems are equipped to handle three lines and
eight digital telephones, with flexible expansion up to nine lines and
24 telephones or 12 lines and 16 telephones. A nationwide financial
services company also selected Vodavi and will deploy approximately 500
DHS-E systems throughout the country.

Lastly, Vodavi's STARPLUS© TRIAD© digital communications system was
chosen by a national heating and air conditioning company for both their
corporate and branch locations. Representing a total of approximately
175 new systems, each site will also be equipped with Discovery ACDPlus,
Vodavi's MIS Reporting Package, and the PathFinder NT-based voice
processing system. The TRIAD family of digital communications provides
affordable and easy-to-use solutions that can start out as small as
three lines and eight stations, and go all the way up to 96 lines and
252 stations.
