American Eagle Bullion Coins for Investors

Congressionally authorized, American Eagle
Bullion Coins are intended to provide investors
with a convenient and cost effective way to add a
small amount of physical platinum, gold or silver to
their investment portfolios. Since their launch in
1986, Gold and Silver American Eagles have
become one of the world's leading bullion coin
investment products. And the recently released
Platinum American Eagle now offers investors the opportunity to
diversify their precious metals holdings.

American Eagle Proof
Coins for Collectors

The Mint produces proof versions of American Eagle coins for collectors.
Proof Eagles are available directly from the Mint by shopping our official
United States Mint Online Catalog at www.usmint.gov/catalog or by
calling 1-800-USA-MINT.

Shop now for American Eagle Proof Coins on the U.S. Mint Online
Catalog.

How to Buy American Eagle Bullion Coins

Aside from Proof version, the Mint does not sell
American Eagle Bullion Coins directly to the
Public. Instead, the Mint distributes the coins
through a network of wholesalers, brokerage
companies, precious metal firms, coin dealers and
participating banks. This method provides an effective and efficient
distribution, which maximizes the availability of the coins in local retail
markets as well as major investment markets.

American Eagle Bullion Coins are sold based on the current market price
of platinum, gold or silver plus a small premium to cover minting,
distribution and marketing costs. A portion of this premium is recoverable
upon resale.

Prices between dealers will vary, so be sure to shop around. Volume
discounts often apply.
