I am interested to learn more about gold coins. I would like to discuss:

- what coins are best bought as an investment;
- differences between historic coins and new coins;
- differences between selling and buying prices;
- what are the best places to buy (bank / retailer / other);
- how to watch out for counterfits;
- all reasons to buy gold coins instead of some other metal, or mining stocks;
- great web sites with information on this topic;
- any other related issue that is of interest.

I hope some very knowledgeable people are willing to contribute!

John

(I do not want to discuss mining stocks or the price of gold; as there are some other threads where these issues are discussed already).
