Two wood peckers were flying along looking for a good tree to peck. Finally they spotted one and gave it a good going over. After, they were perched on a branch and arguing over what type of tree it was. The first wood pecker said it was a beech and the second vowed it was a birch. Soon they were close to a fight when along came a wise owl. The owl listened to the discussion and decided to solve the argument. He did this by suggesting to the wood peckers that they would be better off, if they gave up being a son of a beech and a son of a birch, and looked for a piece of ash.
