Exchange is only a secondary source of income for OnSale (at least for now). They are still in the ramp-up mode for this service, which still has ways to go to catch up with EBay. Their main source is regular auctions, bringing in much more money. These are limited to Computer, Sports and Electronics products (mostly closeouts, but recently I noticed a lot of brand new items at good initial prices) now, but OnSale is planning to expand into other areas, according to their CEO (tickets, gifts, etc.) Note, that despite the increased competition, they are still the leader in these types of sales (judging by their volume (yes, number of bids), 7 days auctions, technical advantages (BidWatch)).
