MegaWorld Launches Internet & Data Services with Level 3 Communications; Co-Location Facilities in Northern New Jersey and New York City

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 1999--MegaWorld Inc. MEGW , an integrated service provider (ISP, NAP, & ASP), today announced it has concluded a contract with Level 3 Communications (Level 3) for Nationwide Co-Location Gateway facilities and broadband Internet Services. MegaWorld is offering services to their customers starting December 1, 1999. The services enable ISPs and telecommunication service providers to be directly supported with managed co-location, Internet Access, Web Hosting, and data networking solutions for their networks and their customers. Under terms of the contract, Level 3 will provide network gateway services and MegaWorld will supply the equipment and systems necessary to support Internet access, VoIP (voice over the Internet), unified messaging, and data network solutions. The initial annual volume is projected to exceed $2.5 million.

These new services will enable ISPs to increase their Internet services while reducing their Internet Access expenditures. Telecommunication providers can use these services to transfer data and Internet access lines from valuable telecommunication switches to lower costs and improve voice, data and Internet access solutions.
MegaWorld's Co-Location facilities are equipped with Ariel's "POP Architecture" for Internet Access with SS7 Signaling Gateways.
