Thanks for the info. Very interesting.

About half what we pay is fixed cost for the "Golden Spigot" water department (that is what the newspaper calls them for the lavish pensions and huge salaries to get us water) so we get good at conserving then they double our water rates to make up for the lost revenue...

1 CCF is 748 gallons so I'm paying $85 for maybe 7,500 gallons in the summer when I let my grass go brownish in August to conserve but not have it completely die.
