Your url didn't work for me, Double. But I don't find it odd that the White House was able to produce letters from Willey, because they knew about the 60 Minutes interview for some time. Yes, they do drag their feet in producing documents when it serves their purposes, however.
The ONLY defense the White House has in regard to this woman is that she still wanted to participate in Democratic politics after the incident in the Oval Office. They cannot say she was a right wing plant, a bimbo, a sex fiend, a nut or a floozy, or that she wanted money. I personally think she pretty much compartmentalized the incident--she was planning to take it to her grave, she said. She still was a liberal Democrat, knew not to get THAT close to Clinton again, but was a new widow and for survival reasons, much like Anita Hill, stayed close to the administration. She certainly did not feel like she had done anything wrong.
