I agree Michael. I think that HYSL spends too much on General and Administrative expenses. It's my belief that this stems from its heritage as Hyperion Software, the applications side of the business, which was largely built by accountants.

The current downsizing is an opportunity to realign their cost structure. The question is, will a company dominated by accountants reduce their administrative costs or the sales and marketing expenses? If they reduce S&M they will hinder future growth, while cutting G&A will increase future profitability.

I will make a decision to buy or not buy the stock based on where the cuts occur.
